Who is White Rose Credit Union?
On February 13, 1950, the Charter was signed and approved for the organization of White Rose Postal Employees Federal Credit Union.
We started out in a garage and by 1994, we occupied 4 offices on the 2nd floor of the downtown Post Office.
In 1997, the East York office was built and we completed a merger with Greater York Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. In 2001, we were blessed with another merger, this one with StanReco Credit Union. This was followed by four more mergers; Flinchbaugh Credit Union (2006), Acco York Federal Credit Union (2008), Yorkco School Employees Credit Union (2009) and finally Central York FCU (2012).
Following the Flinchbaugh merger, we opened our Red Lion Branch and the West York Branch was acquired through the Acco merger.
With all the changes White Rose has seen, we still believe that we are holding up to what the Charter Members wanted. Credit Unions are different, not because of the products we offer, but because of the way in which we are run.
The Credit Union Motto is " Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service."
We would like to give a big warm welcome to Central York FCU Members! As of March 31, 2012 the merger between Central York FCU and White Rose Credit Union is complete.
It is our belief that our members are the heart of White Rose Credit Union. Through the education of our members, our employees, and our volunteers, we strive to:
Improve the quality of life for our members’ financial security by encouraging regular savings, providing education and counseling about credit and making loans for productive purposes.
Serve the best interests of our members and community by operating on democratic ideals. Encourage help through self-help by living by the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”
Safety, soundness, service and democracy in action. These are but a few reasons why your decision to become a White Rose Credit Union member is a wise one.
